PERCEPTION

I work mainly with video and drawing.

Perception plays an important role in my artistic research because I have always dealt with images as entities that emerge from screens or sheets, floating on the surface in precarious balance in order to be visible.

VIDEO

My video works can contain double frames and partial views: in both cases observers need to make a choice to perceive them, from a fragmentary and/or evanescence state to a conjoint and solid one.

Two channel video can contains two different points of view of the same space: it is the choice of the observers’ perceptual mechanisms to obtain a coherent vision.

DRAWING

I choose to use drawing as a medium when it is characterized by immediacy.

I choose either black and white code for its quality of essentiality or colour code carried out with watercolour technique because I am interested in its relation with the surface of the paper.
